World Map Coffee Table Large Campaign Mid Century Atlas Glass Brass Mahogany MCM

A very impressive, attractive, smart and rare glass, brass and mahogany World Map Campaign-style coffee table in lovely condition. Likely made in the 1960s, this lovely table harks back to the 19th Century British Military Campaign style of portable furniture and will add wonderful colour, fascination and bygone decorative charm to any interior. 
 
Impressively sized, this is sturdy and reassuringly heavy. Made of solid mahogany and topped with thick glass, it has lovely highlighting brass banding to protect the edges and feet, after the Military Campaign style of furniture. 
 
It has a superbly detailed archaic world map beneath the glass top which completes the fabulous aesthetic, enhances the wonderful juxtaposing colouring and adds to the fascinating decorative appeal.
 
All in all this is a rare and very attractive Campaign style World Map coffee table, which will enhance any interior with bygone sophistication. CONDITION
This in good condition. Structurally sound, it has been cleaned and polished and the only flaws are the to-be-expected minor marks to show its age, including some minor scratches to the glass. Overall it's a charming table in lovely condition and if well looked after it should be just as super and even more rare for many generations to come – please see the photos.
