A very rare and extremely attractive vintage French washstand collection in lovely condition. Most likely made in the 1940s or 50s or earlier in France, this delightful and highly decorative still-working washstand set will add a wonderful touch of rustic French charm to any interior.
All original and complete, it consists of a bold red painted wrought iron frame featuring a towel rail and two shelves where the matching pitcher and double-handed jug sit. It has an impressively sized and weighted removable porcelain wash basin with original metal plug and an enamel soap dish.
A fabulous find in wonderful original condition, this extremely rare and complete set would look sensational in a bathroom or bedroom setting.
CONDITION
This is in good-to-very-good original condition. Structurally sound and still working as it should, it shows only minor to-be-expected cosmetic marks and stains, which if anything only add to its rustic vintage French charm. Overall it’s a stunning rare set and if well looked after it should be just as gorgeous for generations to come – please see the photos.
