Rosewood Danish Carver Chairs Pair by Preben Schou High Back Mid Century Scandi
A stunningly impressive and extremely rare pair of Danish rosewood carver dining chairs in wonderful condition. Made by high-end Danish design company Preben Schou in the early 1970s, these newly upholstered beauties will add stunning rosewood colouring and an unmistakably sculptural Scandinavian aesthetic to any interior.
Preben Schou dining chairs are highly sought after for their excellent quality and design. Their carver chairs are extremely hard to come by and their rosewood chairs even more so; to have a pair of rosewood carver chairs by Preben Schou is exceptional.
Made of excellent quality rosewood showing lovely grain patterning and hues ranging from cherry to honey, they are beautifully designed. You’ll notice there are no right angles at all.
They have a superbly statuesque sculptural aesthetic and feature tall comfortable curving backs with rounded tops, flat contoured back splats, magnificently sculpted arms and lovely sturdy legs.
The super-comfy generously sized seats have been recently upholstered in a lovely quality mottled cream velvety fabric, which works wonderfully with the rich rosewood tones.
All in all they’re a fantastic pair, which won’t fail to enhance any interior with superb Danish quality and gorgeous colour.

CONDITION
These are in very-good-to-excellent condition. Structurally sound and sturdy, they are newly upholstered and show only very minor age-related signs of wear. Overall they’re a truly magnificent pair in wonderful condition and if well looked after they should be just as marvellous in another 50+ years – please see the photos.
