A gorgeous rare oversize oxblood/burgundy leather Chesterfield sweeping-armed snuggle chair in wonderful vintage condition. Likely made in the late 20th Century, this luxuriously comfortable, incredibly smart and simply stunning 1.5-seater armchair makes a truly striking impression and will enhance any interior with a refined Country House aesthetic.  
 
The kind of fabulous armchair you’d expect to find in an early-20th-Century gentleman’s club or a manor house library, this beauty features a rare and proudly extravagant sweeping-arms-and-back serpentine design and is finished in wonderful quality and beautifully toned, deep-buttoned and tufted True-Oxblood or Deep-Burgundy leather. 
 
Extremely comfortable, this gorgeous Chesterfield has an oversize sprung seat and padded sides and back. Ideal for sprawling out on or sharing a cuddle in, it just oozes class and style and is finished with silvery button trimming and is set on four smartly turned legs with excellent quality bronze castors.
 
All in all this is a real show-stopper of a leather armchair. The superb blend of outstanding quality, excellent design and wonderful comfort ensures that it will add a refined look of bygone Country House sophistication to any setting.    
 
CONDITION 
This is in good-to-very-good vintage condition. Impressively sized, reassuringly heavy and structurally sound, it has only the most minor to-be-expected blemishes and marks to show its age and use. The leather has been treated to keep it rejuvenated and looking its best and overall it's a stunning rare armchair in wonderful vintage condition, and if well looked after it should be just as gorgeous for generations to come – please see the photos.
