MCM Corona Footstool Danish EJ5 Poul Volther Scandinavian Designer Ottoman

An iconic designer footstool in unused as-new condition. Designed by Poul Volther in 1964, this timelessly stylish EJ5 Corona footstool ottoman is a classic of Danish Modern furniture and will enhance any interior with a beautifully sculptural Mid-Century aesthetic. 
 
Generously sized, absolutely solid and reassuringly heavy, the base is made of stainless steel bent into an unapologetically sleek angular form, which is beautifully juxtaposed by the futuristic and sculptural curved concave top of the black fabric padded seat. 
 
Made in the 1990s, this footstool has never been used and has been in storage ever since. The quality is outstanding, suggesting it may well have been produced in the same factory as official Erik Jorgensen models. Without the Jorgensen stamp however, this beautiful footstool comes at a fraction of the cost.  
 
CONDITION
This is in wonderful pretty much as-new and unused condition. The black fabric is in excellent condition as is the stainless-steel frame apart from some minor light scratches to one of the feet, which you have to really look for to see and doesn't detract from this wonderful piece - please see the photos.
