Mahogany Rococo Easel XL Floor Standing Picture Stand Event Seating Plan Baroque
A very impressive and attractive, large Rococo Revival floor-standing mahogany easel in lovely antique condition. Likely made in France in the early Twentieth Century, this versatile, commanding and ornate easel can be used as an artist’s easel or as a display stand for a picture, mirror, or an event seating-plan. However you choose to displays this super easel, it will add superb, rich colouring, striking decorative splendour and a knockout aesthetic of lavish bygone grandeur to any setting.
Wonderfully impressive, extremely large and reassuringly heavy, this extra-large easel looks stunning in a large room and wouldn’t be out of place in even the grandest of banqueting halls. Photographed in the listing with a 104x74cm picture frame, showing just how large and impressive a piece it is.
Made from 3cm thick mahogany and ornately carved in the opulent Rococo style, this striking easel creates a super silhouette and displays particularly decorative floral carvings to the crest and base. It features a three-legged design and has a horizontal crossbar ledge that can be raised to three different heights and sits on two removable pegs with another holding it in place at the rear.
All in all this is a very attractive and impressive Rococo Revival easel, which will impress and add striking bygone splendour to any interior.
CONDITION
This easel is in very good antique condition. Structurally sound and sturdy, it has been polished and has only minor to-be-expected marks and nocks to shows its age. Overall this is dazzling and versatile piece and if well looked after it should be just as impressive for generations to come – please see the photos.
