Lane Coffee Table MCM Large Square Altavisa 1980s Vintage End Table Sofa Table

A lovely and impressive large square coffee table by a prestigious American furniture company in good condition. Made by Lane, likely in the 1980s, it has the original serial number stamped on the underside and will add lovely colour and Mid Century Modern charm to any interior. 
 
A rare model, this is table number 17 of style 1591, made by Lane in Altavista, Virginia from solid wood, most likely American Walnut. 
 
Impressively sized and reassuringly heavy, it features lovely rounded corners, legs and edges and has a durable wood-laminate top showing lovely grain patterning. 
 
All in all this is an attractive rare end or coffee table by a prestigious Mid Century Modern American maker, which will impress in any setting. 
 
CONDITION
This is good condition. Structurally sound and reassuringly heavy, the very durable top is in very good condition and the legs and sides show only minor to-be-expected signs of wear. Overall it’s a lovely rare table in good condition and if well looked after it should be just as impressive for generations to come – please see the photos.
