Antique Walnut Overmantle Mirror 1900s American Walnut Edwardian Aesthetic Large

A stunning, sizeable and highly decorative American walnut overmantle triple mirror in lovely condition. Most likely made in the 1900s Edwardian period in England, this beautifully decorative shelved mirror will add stunning decoration, light, grandeur and a refined bygone aesthetic to any interior.  
 
Made of vibrantly toned American walnut, it is lighter and prettier in colour than the more imposing dark wood overmantle mirrors of the Victorian era. And with the original mirrored glass in place, this strikingly attractive, highly decorative and rare triple overmantle mirror has had pride of place above a country house mantlepiece for the last 90+ years.
 
The triptych of mirrors is a beautiful example of post-Aesthetic Movement Edwardian decoration and features three baluster-lined open galleries, a pair of display shelves, domed finials, reeded and fanned carvings throughout and a crest rail of lovely floral and foliage decoration. 
 
All in all this is a gorgeously toned, rare, large and highly decorative overmantle mirror, which won’t fail to impress in any setting. 
 
CONDITION
This is in good-to-very-good antique condition. Structurally sound, it is affixed to a backboard which has four fixings to screw into the wall. It has minor to-be-expected signs of its considerable age, which are reflected in the price, including slight natural foxing to the glass, some historic wear to the back of the right mirror (which is still smooth to the touch on the frontside) and a nick to the walnut around the left mirror frame. Overall it's a fabulously decorative and rare overmantle mirror in lovely condition and if well looked after it should be just as impressive in another 100+ years – please see the photos.
