Antique Chinese Ming Dynasty Style Low Altar Console Table Side Table Bench

A rare Chinese antique Ming Dynasty style antique waisted altar console table. Likely made in the mid-to-late 1800s, it's wonderfully crafted, packed with signs of its age and is an extremely versatile piece that can be used as a low console table, side or coffee table and even a bench in a variety of interior settings. Wherever and however it's used, it will add colour, charm, genuine antique Chinese craftsmanship and Bohemian rustic style.  
 
Made of blonde Chinese Elm wood, this super antique piece shows lovely signs of age and traces of an original red lacquer finish in places. Made in the Ming Dynasty style, it features a mitred top with lovely mortise and tenon joints on display and an inlaid centre above a recessed waist, mitred leg joints, horseshoe feet and very striking humpback stretchers to all sides. 
 
A great size for an occasional table or even a bench, this is a super, rare versatile and expertly made piece with bundles of aged Oriental charm.
 
CONDITION
This is in fair-to-good condition for its age. Structurally sound, there are many signs of wear, which if anything only add to its genuine antique rustic charm. There are historical repairs to the lower legs but it has been used as a bench recently without any issue so as long as it's looked after it should last for many more decades to come - please see the photos.
