1950s Modernist Bar Cart Serving Trolley Italian Ico Parisi Cesare Lacca style

A gorgeous rare original Mid Century Modernist 1940s/50s triple-tiered Italian style bar cart/serving trolley. When it comes to design, 1950s Italy has got to be up there with the best eras and the striking, almost Art Deco lines of this gorgeous trolley are beautifully reminiscent of the Italian Mid Century designs of Ico Parisi, Cesare Lacca and Gio Ponti. In lovely original condition with gorgeous toning and patination, this fantastic usable authentic vintage piece will add elegant charm and designer sophistication to any setting. 
 
Featuring a beautifully wavy solid wood frame with gently arching lines and the original feet in good working order, this has three tiers consisting of two good-sized fixed trays with lovely raised bordering and a handy middle bottle shelf. Perfect for transporting drinks and snacks around the home for special occasions, this also works wonderfully as an eye-catching decorative piece, an extra side table or even a kitchen island. 
 
Judging by the design and the original wheels (the same as those on the super-high-end Italian designer trolley carts of the 1950s), we think this is probably late 1940s/early 1950s British-made, incorporating the new design styles from Italy as well as the recent Art Deco movement. We haven't been able to find another like it and, unlike its Italian counterparts, you won't need a small mortgage to own this stunning and authentic slice of Modernist designer loveliness!
 
CONDITION
Structurally sound, this is in good-to-very good condition. All the parts are secure and the wheels work excellently with lovely free movement as they should. It had suffered from sun bleaching in parts and has been oiled and waxed and there are some areas of the frame where the original lighter-toned lacquer is still in place, which adds to the authentic patinated feel to the piece - please see the photos.
